Colonial Perspectives on Education

I’ve spent the past few days shooting interviews and conversations with Dr. Jesse Turner during his walk to Washington, D.C. It’s been really fun so far, and I’m looking forward to sharing more video over the next few days.

This particular one really tickled me, as a fan of living history museums and historical re-enactors of all stripes– especially the salty, colonial types. (For the record, I do think we should bring back apprenticeships…or re-imagine their 21st Century offspring (internships) so they involve more meaningful work and less coffee-getting. What’s better than learning by doing?)

My sincerest thanks to the awesome people who work at Philadelphia’s Independence National Historical Park, for bringing American history to life–and staying in character regardless of what you ask them. Enjoy!
