Schedule for EdNation Liveblog

September 24, 2010
by

Hey, all! As promised, here is the beginning of our schedule for the upcoming Education Nation…something. You can find NBC’s TV broadcast schedule here and find their press releases here. Some of the coverage is still being announced, so our schedule will evolve accordingly. Whatever happens, we’ll be doing our best to keep up as we praise positive developments and smack down myths, half-truths, and outright lies.

(Recognizing that the latter two might be a bit like hyper-speed Whack-a-Mole, we’ll also note things that we may not be able to address in the moment, but will be able to address in later posts, or that have been addressed in offline media.) We’ll keep you posted about new additions or changes. And if you don’t already, follow us both on Twitter! (Look right for our feeds :))

Sunday, September 26:

  • Teacher Town Hall (2 hours starting @ 12PM EDT/11PM CDT)
    • NBC will be broadcasting it on MSNBC, and streaming it on msnbc.com, iVillage.com, Scholastic.com, and EducationNation.com.
    • We’ll get started at 11:45 EDT (9:45 here in CO).
    • If you haven’t signed up to be a part of the official event, click the “Teacher Town Hall” link above. I suggest having an open Word document or some other way of saving the questions you submit as you participate.
  • Waiting for Superman Town Hall (1 hour starting @ 9PM EDT/8PM CDT)

Monday, September 27:

  • Tom Brokaw & Arne Duncan live (Starts @ 2PM EDT)
