Astute readers will have noticed that there is now third writer on the blog! Mark joins us from Rochester, NY, where he has spent the last five years working as a teacher in a Title I school. He is also a community organizer and activist for constructive change in education reform. We’re really excited to have him on board. Take a gander at our newly updated “Authors” page to learn more about Mark, and say hello!

Thank you for the warm welcome Sabrina. I hope to bring a valuable voice to the discussion in the months ahead.

Also, another bit of info about myself was movement from a few different schools over the years. I also spent time teaching in alternative education (long term suspended students) so that experience helped me form many new perspectives and views on education systems.
