Facing similar political and economic conditions to ours here in the US, students across England have been protesting proposed increases in tuition and fees. Here, a 15-year-old speaks out about the way police treated young demonstrators, and the lies mainstream media outlets have spread about them and their cause.

What a rousing message from a young articulate student! It will be interesting to see how and when student protests begin here in the US, when students feel compelled to stand up in protest for things they see that are not right.

Yeah. There have been protests in California against tuition hikes, but I think people should be far more outraged about divestment in K-12 than they are. Instead, they’re tuning out or jumping on the “trash teachers” bandwagon…I wish I knew where and when it will end. Just how bad do things need to get here before we start rising up?
